PM Oli arrives home after six-day China visit

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday after completing a six-day official visit to China. The Prime Minister’s entourage landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu at 10:15 am.

Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Ishwor Pokharel, National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Timilsina and Nepal Communist Party leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, among others, received PM Oli at TIA’s VVIP Lounge. Oli had left for China on a special Himlayan Airlines flight on Tuesday (June 19) at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang.

During his official visit, PM Oli held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang, among other Chinese leaders, and signed 14 agreements incluidng a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build a railway link connecting Tibet with Kathmandu.

Oli-led 120-member delegation included four ministers, half-a-dozen lawmakers, over two dozen government officials, media persons and other individuals.
